MasterChef’s Wallace to host a phones-off supper club on super yacht

Chance to enjoy a top meal in TV personality’s company with one rule – no social media

Writer and media personality Gregg Wallace (MasterChef, Eat Well for Less, Inside the Factory) will host an exclusive supper club on Sunday 28 July aboard London’s only super yacht hotel.

From 6.30pm Gregg, backed by Land’s End Restaurant head chef Paul Hegley, will be delighting guests with a tasting menu.

Upon arrival, guests will be greeted with a glass of Pimm’s before retreating to the long, sharing table.

First up, food-wise, will be the ‘Land’s End Sharer’, a delicious platter including truffle honey, Salcombe gin-cured Chalk Stream trout, Cornish mackerel and more.

This will be followed by a Surrey Farm Rib of Beef and the meal will end with something sweet (always a favourite with Gregg), a delightful whipped panacotta and fresh strawberries.

The aim is to create a relaxed atmosphere for guests to enjoy a wholesome meal, in a good old fashioned tech-free manner, sharing a table and making conversation with your neighbours, rather than being distracted by texts, calls and social media.

The evening will be presented in association with Sunborn London whose super yacht hotel is unprecedented in the capital.

The yacht’s decoration maintains the charm and sophistication of a classic sailing yacht with teak wood accents, a sweeping glass staircase and vast decked areas, ideal for sundowners looking out across the skyline of the city of London.

The 128-metre yacht offers 136 spacious bedrooms and suites spread over its five decks. Luxury on-board facilities include the fine dining Land’s End, Sundown cocktail bar, an auditorium and cinema room, Sky Lounge, multiple event spaces and the Symphony Therapy Rooms.

The yacht is located adjacent to the ExCel centre and close to London City Airport and Canary Wharf.

There is a special package rate for the evening that includes nightly rate and a supper club ticket for two at £300 (£150 for room plus £75 for each ticket).
