Everything served with your wellbeing in mind – that’s TRU

New opening in Chancery Lane offers healthy food and great coffee

In these health-conscious days it’s good to know that more eateries are focusing on serving food and drink that tastes great but also with an eye on their clients’ health. So, we’re happy to draw your attention to an establishment that opened this week in Chancery Lane called TRU.

A spokesperson for TRU said: “London’s high street café scene has just been elevated with a game-changing, new feel-good food and specialty coffee concept. TRU has been designed with health and wellbeing in mind. Its relaxed café and high-quality menu are the perfect antidote to stressful living and poor-quality food and coffee currently available on the high street.

“TRU has been made for people who believe in better when it comes to food, coffee and experience. TRU is tastier, healthier and faster. Eat Better. Drink Better. Live Better. Stay TRU.”

TRU offers healthy fresh food-to-go and grab and go options, as well as an eat-in menu in a chic, modern setting. Food is prepared on-site by fine dining style skilled chefs. The menu uses local, seasonal and organic ingredients and is carefully designed to help counteract the stress of modern living and support digestive wellbeing.

The spokesperson added: “Add to that exceptional specialty coffee and a great atmosphere in a central London sanctuary, you have TRU.”

From gluten-free to Paleo, vegan to world cuisine, good day or treat day – the TRU menu has been designed with one key element in mind – health. With delicious breakfast and lunch options including hot and cold dishes plus indulgent treats, juices and smoothies there’s something for everyone. The combination of ingredients, the cooking techniques and the portions have been carefully curated with attention to detail so that they are truly better for you.

Pop in to TRU for porridge on the way to work and you can find vegan choices full of extras such as ground almonds, agave nectar, carob nibs and coconut milk. Or try the paleo eggs or a sweet poke bowl for breakfast with an energy boost juice to start your day the right way. Seasonal special hot dishes for lunch are changed weekly and include curries, baked fish and teriyaki poke bowls.

Vibrant salads, wraps, bagels and sandwiches can be picked up to grab and go quickly without compromising taste and health. Need a ‘cheeky treat’ for the mid-afternoon slump? Come in and sample the too-good-to-be-TRU Coconutco Yoghurt or the Date and Rosewater Chia.

Their specialty coffee is something TRU is very proud of. The highly trained baristas and the state-of-the-art coffee machine (the only one in Europe) mean the TRU team can offer exceptionally high-quality beverages. Signature styles include the Turmeric Coconut Latte and Marshmallow Latte (flamed to order).

TRU also gives away a limited number of desk plants free every day to its customers as well as providing a 10% discount to students with a student ID.

TRU can be found at 74 Chancery Lane, Holborn, London WC2A 1AD. Opening hours are Monday – Saturday 7am – 9pm and Sunday 11am – 7pm.
