At Tootopia, one bar will be boiling, whatever the weather

American bar looking forward to Broadway debut – the Tooting kind

Residents of Tooting in south-west London are in for a treat this coming weekend – weather permitting.

It’s time once again for Tootopia from the September 20-22 when businesses across the area unite to champion local food, drink and culture.

One of the eateries taking part for the first time is the Bayou Bar, the New Orleans-style residents of Tooting Broadway Market. The bar opened earlier this year and its owners are going all in for their first Tootopia and can’t wait to join in the fun.

A spokesperson for Bayou Bar said: “With celebrations from Friday to Sunday the bar will be buzzing. We’re cramming five live acts in throughout the weekend ensuring that whenever you pop down, you’re promised a celebration.”

In addition, following the success of its first ever crawfish boil earlier this year Bayou will be serving up a feast all Sunday, noon until 9pm.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a tray of crawfish, corn, potatoes, dipping liquor, corn bread and a drink for just £30 while they soak up the party atmosphere within the market.
